Up Close with Gabriel's Horn Authors

Gabriel's Horn sprang from Night Writers, a writers critique group in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.  The current core group has been together for nearly ten years, but many of the members have been meeting weekly for nearly thirty, beginning with writing classes with Maureen LaJoy in the 1980s.

We are an eclectic mix of personalities.  Our members have degrees, interests, and work experience in a wide range of fields, from nursing and molecular biology to music and photography to railroads and scuba diving.  We write in genres from paranormal fiction to poetry to the most serious of non-fiction topics.  We write comedy and tragedy.  What we all share is a love of writing and a passion for growing and improving our craft.

Over the years, we have become more of a writers' family than merely a group.  We have attended many community events together, taught writing classes individually and as a group, taken part in local parades, and have annual pool parties and Christmas parties.  Browse our photo gallery and click through to our individual author pages.
